Subprime Loan
Subprime loans are made to borrowers who do not meet prime loan requirements. They usually have a higher risk of default and are charged higher interest rates. Subprime loans may have partially fueled bubbles in the early 2000s, but eventually collapsed and caused large losses worldwide.
