Stock Pick

Stock pick refers to a stock believed to be a good investment after analysis by an analyst or investor.

The thing is that anyone can make a stock pick, even by throwing darts. Stock picks are notoriously hard to make well but easy to make.  Any stock pick heard of should be judged critically as few stock picks are of high quality. As the saying goes, good ideas are a dime a dozen.
