Risk Measures
Risk measures are statistical techniques used to measure risk. They are an important component of Modern Portfolio Theory.
The five principal risk measures are: Alpha, Beta, R-Squared,Standard Deviation, Sharpe Ratio. By using these risk measures it is possible to gain a perspective on how risky an investment is or the relative return an investment has generated accounting for risk.
