Market Depth
Market depth is the ability of a market to absorb large orders without a significant move in price. A security with deep market depth usually has large bid/ask orders preventing large orders from causing a large move in the price.
Securities with a deep market depth are usually liquid and have high volume. Good market depth has been shown to lower the financing costs for corporations and other entities.
