Lot
In the financial markets, a lot represents the standardized quantity of a financial instrument as set out by an exchange or similar regulatory body. In stocks, a lot is usually 100 shrares. Equity options are priced so that each lot(or contract) represents exercise rights for 100 shares of the underlying stock.
