Inverse ETF
An ETF that uses derivatives to attempt to gain if the benchmark index tracked falls. There are inverse ETF for major market indices like the S&P 500, for specific countries such as China, or even for specific sectors like the financial sector. They allow the individual investor to effectively take a short position in the market without a margin account.
