Exercise
Exercise is an act by a option, warrant or other exotic financial instrument holder. It is most commonly used in terms of options. Exercising a call option allows the holder to buy the predetermined amount of shares at the strike price. Exercising a put option allows the holder to sell the predetermined amount of shares at the strike price.
