Conservative Growth
Conservative growth funds attempt to invest in stocks that have shown a great track record of growth, thereby minimizing risk that would be incurred by investing in new issues. A conservative growth fund may have shunned the dotcoms in the late 1990s, which may be suitable to different investors’ tastes. However, its actual holdings may not meet what it claims, and investors should check to see if the mutual fund’s holdings suits their needs.
