Confirmation

1.Confirmation refers to the situation where two or more indicators a trader uses confirm a trend or trade opportunity the trader previously defined. For example, a trader can buy on the breakout of a channel, and then later on, a crossing over of the 50 day and 200 day moving average may provide confirmation of the uptrend. However, just because a trader’s indicators confirm an uptrend or downtrend does not mean it will necessarily materialize.

2.The written acknowledgment provided by a broker indicating that a trade has been completed. This includes details such as the date, price, commission, fees and settlement terms of the trade.
