Compound Option
Compound options are options for which the underlying is another option. This can be a call on a call or put, or a put on a call or put. Compound options are typically found in the foreign exchange and fixed income markets, and offer greater leverage to traders and are initially cheaper. However, if both options are exercised, the total premium will be larger than a premium on just one option.
