Bear
Bear is a term that is generally associated with a pessimistic outlook on the stock market or economy. An investor can also be bearish on bonds or commodities.
For example , a bear market would mean a period where stock prices are generally declining and being bearish suggests the investor believes the economy or stock market will decline. It is generally unadvisable to be a long term bear as the stock market has an upward drift so far.
