I have to admit, that's probably the closest thing I've seen to the way I invest. I don't dollar invest, but closer to accumulation. Although I try to tightly manage what I already do own as to when I'll reinvest probably a little more closely than most.
I think Aquaswim or Fred once stated the reason I keep away from pure Dollar-based investing - and that's that companies do go out of business. It happens. So I just can't see pouring money into a sinking ship. If the ship is sinking, I'm more the wait and see kinda guy. Would not have served me well had I been on the Titanic, but many more ships limp back to harbour when damaged, than outright sink.
