Are there any trustworthy free and paid advisories or news to go by for trading?
I've read in many places that advisories aren't trustworthy to go by and news is at varying things to go by.

I like Yahoo Finance for news. If you want free data check out wikinvest, pretty cool tools over there and they just launched a new research area.

Paid subscriptions I would go with Morningstar for fundamental research and for stock picks + technical analysis definitely Dan Zanger.
