How can I figure expected highs for the upcoming day?

And when would the high occur during the day. I imagine that these can be done after intense back testing. What in particular should I look for?

You can never find the expected highs for the next day for any stock as that is really fortune telling. If there was a way to tell what a stock would do the next day then every investor would be rich

What you can do though is see when a stock hit its high during the day or any previous day by simply looking at an intraday chart. All the major stock brokers have them. Simply open an account with a broker that does not charge a minimum fee and you can get access to real time quotes, charts, research, etc. for free. Some brokers that would work can be found here, http://www.stocktradingtogo.com/2007...stock-brokers/.

Hope that helps!

Take the Open, High, Low of the previous day. Place these numbers on a verticle scale. Once that is done, paste it on the wall, then throw a dart at it. That should give you the general level. :-)
