Is the difference between a stop order and a limit order the guarantee of execution?

Either none of them or having a guarantee of execution and possibly a higher commission fee, then I don't know what is the difference.

Yes, What is the difference between a Buy/Sell Stop and Buy/Sell Limit Order?
Sometimes I have to put a "Pending Order" cause am not a full-time trader and am not sure if I must put a Buy/Sell Stop or a Buy/Sell Limit Order.
I don't see the difference!

According to this article, Protect Yourself From Market Loss
Quote:
A stop-limit order is an order to sell a stock once a specific price is reached, as long as the price does not fall below the limit specified by the investor. If the stock reaches the stop price, the order is converted to a limit order. The benefit of the limit order is that you have more control over the price at which the sell will be executed.
The last paragraph of the article mentions the four types of stops for which I want to know the differences as well: sell stops, sell stop limits, buy stops and buy stop limits
