Question Candlestick analysis

I have for the most part been using end of day data candlestick analysis. My problem has been knowing when to sell during the day, often times I will read a buy signal, and the stock will go up, great, but it often takes a dive before I sell, or I'll sell when I've made a good 5% and the stock keeps going up, and I miss out on the profits (on investopedia). Anyone else have this problem, anyone have any remedies....I'm very new to this.

I am bumping this question so hopefully you can get some more feedback on it. Personally I do not work with candlesticks too often if at all. Have you tried looking around investopedia's site for information?

(goes to investopedia.com)

Ok here we go, they apparently have a series on them:

Thats the first part. Let us know if it helps.
