A little help

I have stock in Franklin Fed tax free FKTIX I was told that it changes when stocks go up or interest rate changes, it seems that all it does is go down, What makes this rise? Thanks John

It has different municipals with in it. 4or 5

I would look it up on a site like Morningstar to find out the breakdown of its holdings and weight in different sectors. This will help you find your answer.

Looks like it is invested in different government bonds
Dallas Fort Worth Tex Intl Arp Jt 5.625%
Puerto Rico Comwlth Hwy & Tran Hwy Re 5%
New York N Y City Mun Wtr Fin Rev B 5.5%

As every project looks to be risky in this tight money environment, the value of these bonds come down to reflect the risk. The way for this investment to be more profitable is to improve the credit condition of our markets.

Interest rates have already come down a lot, only so much room left. What you want is an increase in confidence in the financial system. This will not happen easily or quickly. Read here Bloomberg.com: U.S.
