Citi Group

Hey, i'm looking into buying some stocks and was wondering where would be a good place to start? Does Citi Group look like it will start going back up?

Well, that's the million dollar (literally) question about the whole market.

No one can predict the future. I personally think it will rise, not because of any intelligence on their part, but because it's rather obvious that they are part of the 'chosen' few that will be propped up by any means necessary. I'm not buying into it. Never did care for mercantilistic ideals.

You didn't think it was nice of the taxpayers to reward Citipuke stockholders with a 150% 2 day run?

Ugh ... just ... ugh ...

What's truly hilarious, is that a few days later when the stock sinks down, they try the same thing ... over and over again.

What was it Einstein said? "Insanity [is] doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results ..."

I think this is from the HBO Series Generation Kill, "It's like they don't even have a plan." It's amazing that C gets chosen to be anointed and they will prop that stock up at any cost.

That won't work. C is "too big to fail" but it's also big enough to be highly diluted.
The scope of the dilution is unpredictable, so is the stock price. Nobody knows the deal of the bail out but everybody seems to speculate on it. Amazing...
Personaly I won't touch this stock even with a eleven feet pole.

I don't think I could put it as well, and as succinctly as Fred. It's all about the dilution at this point.
