HB recently became HRC and HI now im confused

Does anyone know if my shares of HB I have on scottrade will be turned into both HRC and HI? HB split into 2 companys on April 1st and as of today the 4th im showing only HRC on my account I was expecting to see HI on there as well?
Im new to companys becoming 2 and hope i didnt get into a big loss on this.
Appreciate any information - Scottrade wasnt any help yet responding to my email.
Thanks

I would read up on the news of how the split occurred because that should tell you what is or will be happening to your shares.

In a typical split like you mentioned the shares should be split between both companies and hold the same relative value when the split actually occurs.

My guess is that the split isn't finalized yet for shareholders, because thinking outloud there is no way the company can determine that, "oh, person A should only get company b stock, and person b should only get company a stock."

Dig through the latest headlines and see what you can pull up.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the fast reply - and yes you were correct i ended up with the same shares for both companys. There was just a delay in the one company showing back up on my account. Appreciate the insight - T

I'v heard that scottrade is slow to transfer split-up stocks and dividends.
