shorting overnight

I've used simulators where I could short stocks and leave it overnight, but when I try to short a stock on scottrade for example they only allow me to hold it for the day.

So I can't hold short positions overnight with scottrade, is there a brokerage where I can?

I've heard folks are pretty happy with ThinkorSwim. I know a few traders short there routinely, and sometimes, overnight.

This is the second time this week I've heard about liquidity problems for clients holding short positions at Scottrade.
