Online brokers?

I'm looking to start with stock trading now and I need a good online broker site to do this from.
I am reading Airelons blogg and he uses Sharebuilder and optionsXpress brokerages.
Sharebuilder doesn't seem to want member from outside US.
optionsExpres is compicated to become member, I have to send a lot of papers etc with a mail (real mail, not e-mail) before I can start trading.

Is there any other good international online brokers with a simple signup and without hidden fees etc?

Well, if it's just stock trading you're looking for, then I also use Scottrade for stock trades and investments, and I have to say - I am extremely pleased with the service that they provide. I know that they also provide service to people who live outside the United States, and they have a really nice platform.

I used scottrade and for people living abroad, it has no fuss about it. Comission is decent too at $ 7.00/ trade.

I wanted to try out Scottrade after reading both your replies but had trouble at signup again so I sended them a email and got a answer that says they only can establish accounts for U.S., China, Taiwan and Hong Kong residents.

I would like the brokerage to be viable for investing, trading, options etc.
I'm not 100% sure yet what all different kind of things there is yet since i'm still pretty new to this.
Do you know of any other good online brokers I can try?

I'm at e-trade. They accept foreigners (I'm one). But they are not cheap.

US rules may forbid foreigners to trade options.

Eeew, Yeah very expensive

13 dollar commision fee

I guess i'll go to e-trade as a last option.
I got a few days before I really need a brokerage so if anyone knows of any more good online brokerages i'm all ear!

I tried ExpressFutures and I really like their Vision Express platform, I don't know how good it is but they say it's very easy to use and I like the design and colors
Had trouble at signup again, I don't think they accept foreigners so I sended them a e-mail and am waiting for answer.

No, commision fee was $20 at e-trade. It seems they changed it to $13. $10 if you have more than $50,000 on your account.

Just wanted to say that ExpressFutures does serve all countrys. Don't want to be giving false info to anyone.
But I got a error the whole last night when trying to submit my account application so I'm going to try soon again.
