ETF ?

First I want to thank everyone for their help in my other thread. Now let me ask something that maybe a simple question. I use a discount broker and pay $7.95 per trade. If i buy a ETF and hold it for a month or so then sell it for a profit is there any other cost that i have to pay other than my $7.95 commisions? Thanks in advance

No other cost to pay besides the commission! ETFs are traded exactly like stocks .

Blain, I have heard that some ETFs do have manage fees per year. Is this true?

Also, do I pay that trade comission fee once when I buy and once when I sell just like a stock like you are saying or is it something different?

Appreciate the help.

Hi

ETFs are a great way to invest particularly the broad-based type. Expense ratios on ETFs typically are very low, there usually is a small ECN charge (like a penny), and then you have the bid/ask spread.
