Need Help ?

I have been swing trading for a little over a year using technical indicators with good results. Not great Results but good enough to make enough profit to keep me in the game. I have a cash account and I am not able to short stocks. I really dont feel confident enough yet to get a margin account. What i was wanting to know is if there was a certain type of stock or etf I could buy on my cash account that would go up when the Dow goes down? Any help on this matter would greatly be appreciated. Thank You

Here are a few ETF's. Checked out a few of them at Zecco, looked over a bit of data . . .

Hi

I'm not into margin either. It's very risky.

Yeah. I mean, I understand the benefits on the reward side. And the market right now? Ugh.

Fed and the media will always do their thing to keep the shorts nervous enough. I hemmed and hawed all night as to whether or not to take a short position against the market, as my system is screaming at me to do so.

Finally just decided to buy a cheap OTM October ES 1200 Futures Put to scratch my itch, just in case. But it'll keep me away from the 'tick worry' as to what will happy. If it falls. Great. If not, then at least I scratched my short-itch, and it only cost me $145.00 total.

Just sold the ES put. The volatility I was hoping for. But my money management kept me away from the larger reward, since this was just a 'scratch the itch' type play. Regardless, walked away with profits - got my fill at 4.10
