If I heard from a reliable source that my company for which I own stock is up for sale should I sell the stock or keep it? If I was to sell I would be close to even.

Hi, I wanted to say welcome to the forums since I noticed that you are new. First of all, "reliable" sources are not always as good as they seem. I don't want to cause trouble here, but I want to make sure that you understand that some people like to stretch the truth to feel important. If you have total trust in the person, and you like the company enough to hold right now, I would continue to hold. My understanding on this is that companies will ususally be bought out for at least what the stock is worth, and often a premium on that.

Keep it! If the company gets bought out the stock price will increase. How big is the company of the stock you are holding?

definately keep the stock, as stocktrading101 said, if it is bought out the stock price will go up
