Why does a company have two stocks? For instance Delta Airlines shows two stocks "DALRQ" and "DNTRQ". Is there a problem investing in Delta with them being in voluntary reorganization under the United States Bankruptcy Code?

When it comes to stocks having two sets of shares though, more commonly this is done through classes when one company's stock price is really high. For example Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA) is priced at $96,400 a share, so to allow more people the chance to buy a piece of the company, they issued B class shares (BRKB) which go for a few grand a piece instead.
They may also issue an A share and a new B share, with the B share mainly for voting power in management's hands. For example, a B share may have 10 votes per share. Happens in family-owned companies sometimes.

They were once a single company that merged into one, Del was the first one, and Ta was the second one. When they merged they called the new company Delta, but just recently (2004 or 2005) they split, but both companies kept the Delta name becasue more people recognize it than either one alone Del or Ta. They are a ton of lawsuits against each other and they are fighting it out in court as a speak. just joking.
DALRQ is the valid ticker for Delta Air. DNTRQ is popbably some defaulted exchange traded debt for Delta Air.
