EDAP TMS S.A. is a French company that engages in development, production, and marketing of ultrasound devices used in treatment of urological diseases. It develops and markets the ABLATHERM...an ultrasound-guided device for the treatment of prostrate cancer. It has been a hot product worldwide but not in the USA yet but may be soon. There is a lot of interest in the medical community to get it through the FDA....and news reports say that EDAP has teamed up with a US company (name escapes me) and will be meeting with the FDA in Atlanta shortly.
I got me some EDAP last week and plan on holding it for awhile....could be a winner.
(I'm not big on France but money talks.....)

This partnership came about a while back and it (Ablatherm) was presented to the FDA.....chatter in the medical community indicates it is likely to be approved.
