In our pre-earnings report, we mentioned that NetEase.com will announce a strong quarter. NTES indeed announced a strong quarter. The Q4 results surpassed expectations. The substantial sequential increase in net profit was helped by a decrease in total operating expenses (during Q3, the company incurred expenses due to marketing of WWJ Online III and Fantasy Westward Journey, which got reduced in Q4). Overall, we consider the quarter to be positive. The company, which has a 14.3% marketshare in Chinese online gaming market (this market marked a 15% sequential growth as per Analysis), is bound to benefit from the growth in the Chinese gaming market.
