I'm carefully looking for a scalp bear spread on JBLU. The stock has gotten ahead of itself. Bar in mind, the lows of 17s should have been broken to establish a wider base.
Wow, JBLU moved to make a new daily high. Above 22.50, JBLU poses a serious threat to the more than 1.8 million short shares due to cover soon. A new 52 week high is in the brewing.
Not announcing a split beforehand seems soemwhat odd to me, any guesses on the strategy behind that? The stock reversed from its early morning high of $16.85. If you could have caught it at 9:45ish you coulda made some quick cash since it was overbought early.
Blain, there has not been a single press release in regard to the split. No explanation on why this occured. I don't see the split as a threat. If anything, it's cheaper for investors to buy. Overall, the company experienced a 17% increase in traffic for the month of November.
