Thank you for diluting my shares Chesapeake. I now paid more for a smaller share of the company.

Natural gas prices are at their highest, and you need to sell more shares to raise money?

How about you actually try to fight and get those Net Receivable and turn them into cash?? Maybe use that money (roughly $1.1b) to pay off your long term debt (about $4.3b) (all figures as of their sept 2005 10q filing)

20m shares at roughly $30/share is $600m.

WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING???

Nice post there, thanks for adding the link. That is interesting and you have a good point, why sell more shares to pay off debt when they got so much cash? I think the best answer lies within Google's 2nd offering for what was it $4 billion extra added to the war chest? With oil expected to only drop off, they may be using this as a strategic time to get free money. The interest right now is in their industry, so why not capitilize? I think this could be argued and I may be totally off, but made me think of Google's cash addition for no apparent reason. The stock had an interesting day today though, I am guessing in response to the news. Should be interesting to see where this industry group stands end of Q1 2006.

Regards,
