I signed up as cbhall and started the game tonight.

Without knowing squat about the stock market, I invested most of the money with three different companies that I know well, like a lot and wouldn't mind owning in real life. I don't know if this is a wise strategy, but I was sort of at a loss when I was trying to decide what to pick. So I chose probably the three companies that get the most of my money in real life. LOL

I would have selected a lot more, but I couldn't think of any other ones. I need a research tool that isn't such a buggering pain in the rear to use as the one at investopedia!

I should subscribe to the wallstreet journal. They have a LIST. I like lists.

Cass.... I've got only one thing to say to you:
BAH-BAH-BAH-BOOOOYAH! Check out Jim Cramer on CNBC, M-F 6,9, or 12. I've learned alot about the market from that guy, but don't let him be your only source. There are plenty of investment books out there you can read up on. One I recommend is: A Random Walk Down Wallstreet. I picked it up from Amazon.com for like 3 bucks. Other good books are: The World is Flat and Freakonomics. Stock market forums are great sources of information as well.

It's important to get your own investing style. Cramer + books + forums = lots of information. You'll form your own opinion and figure out an investing strategy that's right for you!

I definitely see myself getting waxed this go-round. I will look for some of those books.
