Hi

I have an account with Zecco and love it. I have an interest of investing in spreads, but I was looking at Interactive Brokers for that. I am curious if anyone knows what the fees are for the option trading as well as stock trading with Interactive Brokers. I've decided to switch because of the new $25,000 rule that has been imposed (for which I don't even have half of that).

I am hoping to use options successfully and have been exposed to them a few times. I've used practice trading forums and see just how easy it can be to lose money in them, but how beneficial they can be if you invest in them in a prudent manner.

Help????

Hi, my first post!
I have been using IB for several years now. But only on stock. Each trade is $1 commission. I think they charge $10 per month if less than 30 trades. IB also provide free live data feed.

I think you can avoid that fee if you don't have the live data feed. I'm not sure however since that is how it seemed to be written. I can use Yahoo Finance instead. I don't need or want any trade tools.

Interactive Brokers LLC, or better known as IB in active trading circles, is an online discount broker which consistently gets high marks as a software based broker, and also one with very competitive trade costs by Barron's. Interactive Brokers' subsidiary, Timber Hill LLC, is one of the top market makers of exchange listed equity and index options around the world. IB is now listed at the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol IBKR.

Hi
Most of our customers use IB, as our automated system was mostly designed to use the IB platform. Except for the cost, our customers are very satisfied with IB's reliability
