I also have an account with Zecco. They're great because I get 10 free transactions a month, plus anything over is only $4.50 per.

Interactive Brokers, commonly called IB, was one of the first brokerage firms to spearhead electronic trading and they did it in a big way. The result is a brokerage firm that trades virtually every major market in the world on a very technically advanced trading platform. And you, the trader, benefit with very low commissions and a solid electronic trading platform. The stop was not filled, but price was very much past it, and the stop was still active in the software. This and similar problems has happened many times. So, when they warned of not honoring a stop, they meant it!The low commissions sound great, but you'll do better shopping else ware.

I've also had my Stops by-passed on Ameritrade and E-Trade both. My question concerning IB is about trading inside of an IRA. I understand thru a friend that when in an IRA, the monies received from a trade on any given day can be used after 4pm, unlike Ameritrade and ETrade where they must be held a min of 3 days as unsettled funds. Does anyone have confirmation on this. I'm considering moving a 30K Roth from ET to IB ???

I use IB, love em. Great service, fast execution, cheapest fees, good customer service. The BEST!!!! No research, but if you do not need it, then there is no problem.
