Ameritrade exclusive perks gone?

Ok, I know I don't have the Apex trading platform, but on my regular account I now have access to minyanville, S&P, Market Edge (non-Plus), etc. There is now less incentive for me to try to qualify for Apex. Since I am not a day trader, I won't use the Apex software often to trade. I remember that I can use free third party apps with Ameritrade, but I'm not sure how it compares with the Apex program. Is there any other research and tools perks that I am sorely missing out on?

With a regular TD Ameritrade account I do not believe you have access to level II quotes and Command Center do you?

That is pretty sweet that are giving access to Minyanville now for regular users, for a while it was exclusive to use in Apex.

EDIT: Here is a link to the speed review on the site for TD Ameritrade,

Yes, I do have command center 2.0 and streamer suite. I haven't downloaded that bloated java to test it out yet, but it does say there are level two quotes on the description page of command center.

It's a bit vague about what service fees that I would be avoiding, so it doesn't seem like I would be using those services.

Very interesting, I wonder if there is more behind what they are doing then, perhaps both services are nearly identical...

more importantly - I wonder if they'll send out the holiday gifts this year. What was last year the lighter? if they cancel the gifts, I'm out.

That Zipo was amazing. In fact I think I still have mine somewhere, just needs some more lighter fluid. I hope the gifts keep coming, we deserve them
