Don't need to. But somehow, it just seems to happen. My project next week is to close down the Scottrade account, and move it to my other brokerages.

Any serious investor/trader will have more than one broker. Several reasons. Sometimes the data feed will stall on one broker, so I simply switch to my other broker's data feed. Also, if you're lucky enough to have an account well over $500k, then you need another broker for insurance as brokers only cover that much, i.e. $400k in equity value and $100k in cash. I use MB Trading as my primary broker and TDAmeritrade as secondary. My trading platform is QuoteTracker...both brokers integrate with it fully so I can trade with both accounts on the same screen and layout. If I wish I can trade with MB Trading while watching my streamer quotes with data feed from Ameritrade and vice versa.

Here's a partial screen shot of my personalized QuoteTracker. Some of the data such as stock prices may look extreme, but it is simple gobbledy gook you see after market has closed and before price readjustments for normal trading day start. It's highly customizeable. Note the trading module at bottom where I've got MB Trading selected. With a simple click of the mouse I can select Ameritrade but the entire screen/interface remains the same. I can grab and place the trading module anywhere on the screen I like, same with the intraday chart shown of stock CCK with 5-minute price and volume bars...I can also size it as small as I wish or enlarge to fill entire screen. Each stock also has live updating historical charts, i.e. 6 months, etc. And I can open as many charts as I wish at same time. Great thing about QT is that it is not web based as it resides always on your hard drive and thus speeds up Ameritrade. MB Trading is direct access so it's already fast as lightening.

I do not need to have more then one broker as you look for more then one broker then sometime it is becoming risky. Now I came to know about AVAFX, Oanda, Zecco. Out of these brokers I will find for best bonus , that is AvaFx which is a very good broker and really impressed with this broker very much. This is providing bonus facilities in $200 you will get additional of $100 into your accountsend this code AVAQZ12 to account representative. So it’s better to use no. of brokers use best one.
