FOMC hikes rates 25 BPs

As predicted, the Federal Open Market Committee raised their target interest rates 25 basis points to 4.25%. The real news is the language they used to describe their intentions, which the market felt was insinuating that they were reaching the end of their rate hiking campiegn.

Discuss.

1-2 more rate hikes, I wouldn't be surpised to see a 5% fed funds rate, but I think it's more likely to see a 4.5% o 4.75% after this. One things for sure though, After JAN 31st, all bets are off.

Initial claims tomorrow. I don't think we'll see NFP this week.
