Pivot Points calculation for stocks

Hi everybody,

I have a question I hope somebody can help me with.
I need to know the method for using the pivot points with stocks.
I know all the concept about it, I have the formulas because I have been using them in the forex market for about six months but I don't know how to apply them to the stock swing trading.
This is what I do on forex, wich I trade intraday but I want to trade stocks on a swing approach:
-Using an hourly chart I take the O,H,L,C for the previus day and calculate the pivots and plot them on 15 and 5 min charts.
-Also using the hourly chart, I take the O,H,L,C for the previuos WEEK to plot the pivots for the current week.

If I were going to trade intraday I would use the same strategy but as I said I would like to learn how to do it for swing.

So, my question is what time frame should I use to calculate O,H,L,C to calculate pivots to plot on the daily charts? Should I use weekly or monthly information?

I hope my question is clear and somebody can help me.

Thanks

I'm a bit skeptical on how well pivot points work......

Here's an article I found though.

I do not know about swingtrading, but I spotted this guy's journal on elitetrader, perhaps it might be of use to you:

thanks for ur replies.
I will check the info.

WallStGolfer, the pivots have been working good to me on the forex, that is way I would like to combine them on stocks because I already know the theory about them. I just don't know how to do adapt them to my trading style.
