Advice for someone starting off

What advice would you give to someone who is just starting their journey towards financial freedom? Words of encouragement anyone?

First thing I usually say goes along the lines of: If you want it bad enough, you'll get it. In the end it will boil down to your true drive for success.

Agreed, I'm going to refrain from this thread until I'm a bit further down the road myself : )

Everthing you guys have said is agreed upon in my opinion. But adding one more thing- reading. And lots of it. That is what i started from. Becoming introduced with "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and after reading it i began to think differently. Taking the things you learn and move on to the next level is how I started off.

Next, I would give them the link to the list of good books for beginners.

Persistance is a real drain, thats why only 1% of the worlds population have so much of it.

Ah, its almost a quote.

Here is another one

loss breeds experience. Experience breed skill. you can't have a skill without experience.
