Windows XP Service Pack 3

Has anyone hear downloaded the new Windows Service Pack 3? I hear system speed is boosted 10%.

Not as of yet, but I'd look forward to it. The system is getting more apps on it, and it's starting to get a tad slower ...

I'm more the sort that looks and listens to what everyone else starts saying before I go ahead and migrate over ...

no i already Have Vista in my Computer And i think its Better then any Version of Xp Windows...

Installed it on my work laptop and nothing too significant to report yet but I am sure it is making a difference.

I had my Dad install it and he says his computer has, "never been better" because some of the features like standby that never worked right are now working great. He is a happy camper with windows service pack 3.

Sort of curious if anyone has heard any horror stories?

I always wait. Just wait, to see if anything too horrendous blows up. I still haven't gone over to service pack 3, and I'm thinking it's getting to be 'about that time'.

No horror stories at all. SP3 is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it if you are still using XP. The speed increase is very noticeable.

Yes, I agree. I don't remember encountering any BSOD(blue scree of death) after installing SP3.

Yeah, I've finally gone ahead and done it. It doesn't seem like there are any ill effects.
