After talking with you on AIM, I think it's best that you do number 1, and continue to study securities:

It is where your passion lies. It will be much, much harder to do something like RE if you don't really enjoy doing it. It is definitely attainable to a driven and motivated person, so you COULD do it, but why make things more painful than they have to be? Go with your heart, and in this case securities!

Of course man, keep doing well in school. Reading is always a positive thing whether you enjoy it or not . Keep educated on the economies across the globe and new issues that come about. Shoot for the stars man. When you fly to canada, I will be awaiting your gate off the airplane . Keep us informed. As i like to say, Educate the uneducated. You have the knowledge, use it wisely and give back to others in need.

Keep us informed.
All the best,

In my opinion First, it is always best to know a little about a lot. Not everyone agrees, but that is how all opinions get received. My reasoning is that this way you can have a lot of different deals going, and keep your money moving. I also get bored kind of easy. I don't like to do the same thing everyday. By working with RE, paper assets, and business, I keep myself really entertained and motivated.

In all, I say continue to work on learning new things, and if you enjoy it; stick with it.

When are you coming to Canada? I think that you should not focus on any one thing to the exclusion of others. Try to follow your passions with a little bit of balance. Split your resources on both things in a way that does not neglect one in favor of the other.
You are one of the smartest people I know right now and I have a great respect for your ability to apply yourself where you think it is best to do so.
I hope you enjoy your time in Canada as much as I do I do envy you the adventure.

Good Luck,
Joe

I agree with the "Don't be a jack of all trades, ace of none" quote. But I also think that it is better to be an Ace at one, and still know the basics in other fields. I will agree that it is important to be really good at something, but don't sign off learning just because you are an, "ace" at one thing.
