Pushing Your Comfort Zone

I am taking a sociology class this summer, and one of our assignments was to do something that takes you out of your comfort zone. The whole idea of the project was to study how people react when you do something around them that is not "normal."

I enjoy snorkeling, so my idea was to put on my wetsuit, googles, snorkel, and water shoes (I couldn't walk in flippers) and go to my local blockbuster (which is about 30 miles from any good water for snorkeling) and walk around for a while. Even as a write this, I admit it sounds kind of lame, but I am telling you it was so fun/interesting/scarry at the same time. I didn't want to take my mask off to let people see who I was, and at the end I could barely find my way out of the store because my goggles fogged up so bad, lol.

So, I am telling you that if you have never done anything way out of ordinary (while still legal mind you) to give it a try. Puts a new perspective on life .

Sounds like fun I do a lot of work with people who do odd things like rubber boots with shorts at the pool. It is the oddities in human behavior that allow us to define normal as normal for ourselves.
