Exclamation Ideas for the Next comp.

I think we need to somehow incorporate futures and short options into the investment arena to fully max out our profits. Is there anywhere that will let us do this combined with euqities? I can't find one if there is!

WallSt, we are limited to the abilities of investopedia.com's simulator, so I apoligize but futures will not be possible in this next competition. I am sure investopedia is working on adding such a feature though for down the road!

I will remember to add a high stakes competition in the future Ailun .

The official prize distribution has been released, so make sure to check it out in the competition booth.

Best Regards,

Are you stating having three competitions, one Canadian, one US based, and one rest of world based? I think that establishing different variations of our comeptitions by seperating based on world location is a possibility for down the road. The Falkin Signature Competition Series we like to keep as one big competition, but maybe down the road something more varied is likely.

If you have any other ideas regarding this concept please feel free to post them up. We appreciate any suggestions with our competitions, and thank you for taking the time to post.

no separtion just one account on invetopedia. you start with 100k US$ and 100K Can$ the simulator supports this already and it does not limit anything that is happenning already. Everyone who signs up can trade however they choose and if they have no interest in the Can$ part of their account they will finnish with 100K Can plus interest. the three prizes would just be for top CAN$ top US$ and the combined. so all contestants are in the same competition but could end up with one two or three winners. It could seperate the men from the boys IMO because the simulator does not support Can$ options contracts yet, but everything else is the same. The ultimate would be a sim that would support equities from all markets domestic and foreign with exchange rates by the day. I played on one of those about five years back. It was put on by Bank of Nova Scotia and was a sales pitch for their online trading platform.
My point is we could do it for Falkin V without changing anything but the settings for the simulator. Check out the 1000000USDandCAND game on investopedia it has both can and us $ in same acct
Cheers

Next semester I am going to impliment a different way of doing our WFS mock portfolio. Instead of using Investopedia.com, I am going to write out all my posistions in excel. This way I can dwelve into all the different financial markets and take advantage of all possible profit oppurtunities.

Nice idea WallSt, that could prove to be beneficial for down the road. There is a way you can I believe import your trade history into excel, but I am not positive on that. We recommend actually that you print out your trade history at the end of the competition, because you can use it at your next job interview.

What statistics are you looking to record with excel?

Have a good one man.
