PayPal

Hey guys,

I sold an item and used Paypal to collect $45. I already have it deposited into my checking account. I deleted my credit cards and bank account information at the site.

The buyer filed a claim on me because he says he hasn't received the item. It also says he has emailed me multiple times. I haven't received any emails about the matter until this weekend when PayPal emailed me.

PayPal policy is to take his word over mine because I don't have a shipping number. I've heard of bad things about PayPal and so I researched it online. I've read complaints about Paypal taking money out of your checking account if you don't have the funds already in the PayPal account. I sure hope they don't do that.

If I don't refund than I'll have limited to no use of my account anymore.
I like using Ebay and I'm afraid I won't be able to send or receive money by credit card anymore.
Do you guys think I should refund the $45 or is PayPal too strong of a presence on Ebay?
