i currently have a margin account with etrade but for certain reasons i want to open up one somewhere else. i cant believe that i just got denied for a margin account from ameritrade! i thought brokers gave margin accounts to everyone. when i called etrade to get one they just gave me one without even having to apply. maybe the reason is because i didnt deposit money in the account yet. do you guys think if i wire $20,000 in the account and re apply il get accepted? maybe they thought i was broke?

but worse case senario, if i dont get accepted with them, can someone recommend an easy place to get one? preferably a place that gives you one without an application process?
