Depending on how large your trades are, you may need a prime broker. If you don't have 5M or greater under mng't, you're fine without them. Ameritrade is great and I'll vouch for them. I'll also highly recommend Think or Swim. You can choose between flat fee or per share commission. Their options desk is SICK and they will gladly help walk you through a set up if you are a bit confused as to how you want to structure a particular trade...
