This is very important as you have to flow with the trends. Tracking the leaders of the group is a fantastic way to stay ahead of the game. Take a look at fertilizers for example. CF, MOS, and POT as #1 have all lead the group consistently higher through the last year+.

Another I personally promote is to always cut your losses short. 5 - 7% are standard for stop losses and in this market 2 - 4% is even arguably too large.
