Network begins phase I exploration at Pistala
2007-11-30 14:27 ET - News Release Mr. Alexander Helmel reports
PISTALA EXPLORATION BEGINS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE; CALDERA DRILL PROGRAM UPDATE
The phase I exploration program at Pistala, Network Exploration Ltd.'s Peruvian property, scheduled to commence Dec. 4, 2008, has started ahead of schedule. Timing for Caldera's drill program is still being determined, as date negotiations with Chilean drillers continue.
"We are still waiting for the drillers to determine timing for Caldera's upcoming drill program. Due to the high demand for drilling outfits in South America, these discussions have been lengthy. However, we expect a drill date to be announced soon," states Richard Schnoor, director of international operations. "The commencement of Pistala's phase I exploration program is very exciting, as Network's senior geologist, Marco Fernandez-Concha, a 25-year veteran of exploration in South America, has identified Pistala as a possible copper porphyry target."
Fernandez-Concha, former head geologist of Latin America for Teck Exploration and South American exploration manager for Noranda, is leading the exploration team at Pistala. Phase I exploration at Pistala is designed to provide a general understanding of the geological features at the 1,600-hectare Peruvian property. Results from this geological mapping and sampling program will be used for subsequent trenching, test pit and drilling programs.
