Charles Schwabb (SCHW) today broke new multi-year highs as the stock traded above $24 then closed the day at $23.96. It is apparent the company has not been affected by the market woes as of late and actually E-Trade’s subprime problems may have helped the broker excel.

First Solar (FSLR) reported stellar earnings after the bell yesterday and surged in after hours trading. The stock today closed up 34.29% to $224.43.
