A great move today from Dryships Inc (DRYS) stock which was featured in my Wednesday night edition of Blain’s Nightly Stock Picks. The stock tallied 8% to close at $89.96, almost two points above the $88.20 buy point.

A big session for the bulls as they took back the momentum from the bears. Volume soared as the market shot to new multi-month highs.
The dollar gained more ground today and commodities suffered because of it. Gold and Oil were both down overall.

Today the FED cut interest rates by a quarter point which could very well be the final cut. After the 2:15 PM announcement the market traded down on higher volume to finish the day in the red.

The market overall had a pretty light day today ending nearly unchanged across the board.
Chinese internet giant Sohu.com (SOHU) jumped over 10% to a record high close after reporting stellar earnings and raising guidance, and Ford (F) today surged back over $8 on news that Kerkorian is taking interest in the struggling motor company.

Featured groups Fertilizers, Steel, and Gold all took hits today as institutional funds flowed out of commodities as a whole (less oil which was flat on the day) and into tech stocks with a focus of computer software and semiconductors.
