Mark Minervini’s Master Trader Workshop 2014 – $1000 Savings

Last fall I attended Mark Minervini’s Master Trader Workshop in Myrtle Beach with three other StockTradingToGo subscribers. I left Myrtle Beach after a long weekend of learning inspired and educated. I also left with the realization that I still had a lot to work on to become a master trader!

Time flies by, because here we are again and Mark’s 2014 workshop is already on the horizon.

Besides a full weekend of learning and talking stocks, the highlight for me was learning from not just Mark, but CANSLIM guru David Ryan as well. These two together were a tag team of educational mastery and encompass a wealth of knowledge.

If you are interested in learning more about the workshop and possibly attending, everything you need to know is below.

Who: Mark Minervini with 3 time US Investing Champ David Ryan
What: 2014 Master Trader Program Superperformance Workshop
Where: Myrtle Beach, SC, Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes
When: October 18th – 19th, 2014

About Mark and David

Mark Minervini is a 30 year+ investing guru who won the U.S. Investing Championship in 1997 with a 155% return. His personal SEPA methodology is his secret sauce and is broken down at the workshop. Mark also published a book, Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard, in 2013 which I reviewed and gave 4 / 5 stars. You can read his full bio with all the according returns claims on his website.

David Ryan is a 40 year+ guru who also has won the U.S. Investing Championship, three times in fact. He is a protégé of William O’Neil (CANSLIM trading) and actually ran a fund with O’Neil in the 90s. He’s mentioned in not only O’Neil’s infamous book, How to Make Money in Stocks but also in Market Wizards – Interviews with Top Traders by Jack Schwager.

If Mark is as good as he says, why does he not post his returns? Why will he not answer a simple questions such as ‘are you beating the S&P 500 this year’? Why does he not have audited returns for accredited investors? Why is he willing to sell his system now but in in Wizards he asked JS to turn off the recorder? Why would people expect that while the market has changed considerably since 1980s and Marks system hasn’t that it would provide returns that had any statistical edge?

I like your site, but this is a waste of a new traders money.

Ps $1 gets you $20 that you don’t print this comment…

I’m a whiz in getting into a trade (as in buy in) never miss, but I guess I’m also my worse enemy, I can’t hardly know when to get out, seems I hang on for more, greed I guess, emotions.

I am unsubscurbing from your daily service which does not provide any useful information anyway but only things like themarket went up, the market went down and everything else you can read in Yahho! finance, because it seems it is used as a vehicle to promote self proclaimed gurus. I f they can make money trading they should have no time running courses.

    Hey guys,

RE Gilbert, fantastic questions that I do not have the answers to. You are wise to be skeptical, and it is something I encourage. In this case of Minervini, I did attend last year alongside three other STTG’ers, so this is just our experience. Also, the returns he does note are legitimate. If you do not feel the workshop is justified, then by all means pass, I completely understand. On the whole, I am with you, long term I feel all services great and small should be required to share their actual trading results. People should know who they are taking advice from.

RE Vicktor, emotions are extremely tough to overcome, but hard work pays off. In the game of trading, you are playing against your own mind. Learn to overcome though emotions and you’ll find great success. One of the best ways to overcome emotions is to stick to a preset plan. This post might help a bit, http://www.stocktradingtogo.com/2007/08/30/how-to-sell-a-stock-you-love/.

RE Alex, I am sorry to hear that. 17,000+ others would disagree but I understand and want you to find full value in our free service to justify reading each day. Re gurus, see comment to Gilbert above. We appreciate you reading while you were around. All the best with your personal trading.
