Dan Zanger 2014 Seminar coming March 22nd, 2014

World record holder Dan Zanger recently announced his next once a year seminar. It will be held on Saturday, March 22nd at the Hyatt Regency Miami with a meet and greet taking place the night before.

I have already been to Dan’s seminar once and look forward to attending again. You can read my full review of Dan’s seminar (review starts half way down) here on the site.

Dan Zanger holds the World Record for the largest portfolio return in a single year (29,233%). His claim to fame is turning roughly an $11,000 portfolio into $45 million over two years during the 90s dot com bubble. His nightly newsletter service is one of my favorites.

The seminar costs $1,795 per person and seating is limited (I believe they cap it at 100). If you have Seminar specific questions, send them my way and I can connect you with the coordinator. You can also view the seminar info page on Dan’s website.

Q: Do you have to already be subscribers of Dan’s newsletter to go?
A: No, anyone can attend.

Q: Does being a Zanger subscriber already make a difference?
A: Being already familiar with Dan’s trading style does help, however it is not critical to maximizing the educational value.

Q: Is it worth the money?
A: Thanks to my relationship with Dan and his team, I am invited each year at no cost less my travel expenses. With that said, my Dad is paying the full price and going this year as I’ve talked it up so much (read my full review). There are simply only so many opportunities to learn from proven traders, especially ones that use straightforward strategies that are not overly complex.

If you are going to the seminar this year, let me know! STTG represented well at the Mark Minervini workship this past summer and I’d love to meet you.

I was a the last seminar and I was bored for the most part..
    Can Dan trade.. Yes
Is Dan Entertaining and a Good Guy Yes..but do you need to spend $1700.oo Plus and all other expenses to learn from him..No
Why.. because he will never cover the most important thing in trading that will make you successful, and he does not test to see if his students actually get what hes teaching by getting feedback.Anyone can slap up hundreds of charts…and have them fit the model.. What you dont know is that Dan over trades and he even admits it! And after covering tonnes of charts only then does he tell you ..he simplifies it to the basic patterns covered by William Oneil..on the weeklys.. Nor does he really tell you how to diversify risk properly or how he used margin.Of course the author of this website gets to go for free because he is getting a commission by clicking on the link..

    Hi John,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I would agree that Dan does not go into risk management, something that I found Mark Minervini and David Ryan did an excellent job of earlier this year, http://www.stocktradingtogo.com/2013/10/19/mark-minervini-review-master-trader-workshop/. What my big take away from Dan’s seminar was, and why I recommend it, is simple, perspective. Yes, Dan goes through 100+ charts (as does Mark Minervini), the key is that Dan has set a world record for returns and has proven his worth in the investment community. This is why Dan and Mark sell out their seminars and charge high prices. It is not every day you can sit down and get into the mind live of someone like that. If you are bored from viewing charts then you were overlooking the fine points. If Dan’s trading is so simple why are you not flying around in a private jet everywhere? This is what I asked myself, and why I will continue to attend when the opportunity presents itself.
I 100% respect your opinion nonetheless and appreciate your honesty. Also note, I am not compensated for any referrals to Dan’s Seminar. I have been recommending Dan’s nightly newsletter for multiple years, and because of this Dan and his team invite me each year.
